Dear Harvest Family,

“But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.” Psalm 73:28

We invite you to take a few minutes to watch this update about two key pastoral transitions, Pastor Greg Bradshaw and Pastor Ed Ollie.

Pastor Greg Bradshaw served Harvest Bible Chapel for seventeen years, primarily at the Crystal Lake Campus and most recently also as the Lead Ministry Pastor and an Elder.

Pastor Ed Ollie joined the team as the Campus Pastor of the Chicago Cathedral Campus three years ago and recently served as the Lead Campus Pastor, as part of our teaching team, and as an Elder. We are extremely grateful for these men and the way they both stepped into their roles and faithfully served our staff and our church.

If you want to send a card or note of thanks for how God used Pastor Greg and his wife Kris or Pastor Ed and his wife Marcia in your life, send those to:

Pastor Greg Bradshaw
Harvest Bible Chapel
580 Tracy Trail
Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Pastor Ed Ollie
Harvest Bible Chapel
935 N. Dearborn Street
Chicago, IL. 60010

We also ask you to pray for the continuing staff at Crystal Lake. Pastor Mike Ruge continues as the main point of contact for the pastoral staff along with Pastors Bryan Bradshaw and Ben France as we begin the search for a new Campus Pastor for Crystal Lake.

And for Pastor Jeff Thompson as he becomes the Campus Pastor of the Chicago Cathedral Campus.

Lead Operations Pastor, Roger McCoy, will be working alongside the Campus Pastors to continue the work of ministry on all six of our campuses as we continue the search for a Lead Teaching Pastor (see update below) and begin the search for a new Lead Ministry Pastor. Pastor Jeff Thompson will oversee the Campus Pastors as Lead Campus Pastor until those two positions are filled.

Regarding Pastor Greg and Pastor Ed’s appointments to the Elder Board, Pastor Greg will be replaced by the new Lead Ministry Pastor once found and Pastor Ed’s replacement will come from our Campus Pastor team.

Lead Teaching Pastor Search Update

As communicated in August, the Search Committee has been interviewing the final candidates from those presented by Vanderbloemen. After much prayer through this process, the Elders have decided to ask Vanderbloemen to conduct a second search to present a new slate of candidates. We are prayerful that in the next couple of months there will be a second slate of candidates presented, and the Search Committee will continue the work of interviewing and vetting these men. We trust the Lord to lead the right man to serve our church in this role. You can see the latest updates for the Lead Teaching Pastor search here.

Thank you for your continued prayer in this process. We invite you to join us this Sunday in-person at your campus or online at 9:00 and 11:00 AM as we continue our series, Teach Us to Pray.
