We want to share with you a ministry update that the Campus Pastors who serve as Elders shared at our meeting on Tuesday, May 18. So thankful for the many ways that the Lord is working in our church right now.
The Hope Centers on our Crystal Lake, Elgin, and Rolling Meadows Campuses provided food to more than 2300 families from January through April 2021. It is a joy to be able to offer help and hope in Jesus to those who come through our doors. The stories of people coming to the Hope Centers and then attending one of our Sunday services and even getting into small groups is such a God thing.
The Lord continues to provide new pastoral student ministry staff at our campuses over these past couple of months. Continue to pray for the Lord to fill a couple more positions on this team. Pray also that this team will be able to grow together over the summer months as the minister to our students and families.
Young Adult Ministry
We thank God for the ways He is growing our Young Adult global and local communities and connection on every one of our campuses. Pray that the Lord will show up in a mighty way as they head up to Camp Harvest for Memorial Day Weekend.
Culture of Invitation
As we look around each of our campuses, it has been such a great reminder to all of us of the impact of the culture of invitation. Many people who are new to our church are coming because of a personal invitation. Because of that, we have seen people connect into small groups and onto serving teams so much more quickly.
We are excited about the recent announcement of each of our campuses re-engaging the leadership role of deacons.
We pray that these updates about what God is doing in His church encourage you as much as they did us as an Elder Board.
