Cultivating a personal encounter with Christ, welcome to A Harvest Summer: Mind, Body, Soul.

Now through the end of August, we want to help our church family encounter the Lord personally in the areas of mind, body, and soul.

Each month in June, July, and August, we will offer personal challenges and resources for you to grow in these areas.

Check out the challenges below and get started in encountering Jesus Christ in a deeper, more personal way this summer.

Mind

  • Read a racial reconciliation book, Reconciliation Blues by Ed Gilbreath
  • Join the book discussion online on July 30, 2020, at 7:30 PM
  • Start building your personal library and reading list—coming soon!

Body

Take the 8/8/3 Challenge

  • Sleep 8 hours a night
  • Drink 8 glasses of water a day
  • Exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes
  • Use Streak Tracker App (available wherever you download apps)

Soul

  • Practice 24 hours of Sabbath rest once a week for July

Body

Steps Challenge
Walk or run 8,000 steps per day (through tracking on an iPhone or other device such as a Fitbit) for the remainder of this month.
Bonus challenge: 10,000 steps per day

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
