Adult Ministries

The purpose of Harvest Adult Ministries is not to gather a quantity of disciples, but to intentionally develop a quality of discipleship in those our Lord sends to us. Maturing disciples should: worship Christ, walk with Christ, work for Christ, and witness for Christ as they progress in the lifelong pursuit of genuine biblical discipleship.

Our ministry objective is to deepen our commitment to our Savior and experience the passion of truly living life on purpose—for the glory God in all we think, say and do.

The Word of God is foundational to everything we do. Yet the spiritual growth of many is hindered, not by a need for more information about the faith, but by lack of motivation, encouragement and accountability in their commitment to obey the teaching of Scripture (Luke 6:46).

Because of this, our mission is to facilitate quality discipleship through: (a) applicational Bible study: the straightforward teaching of our obligation to respond to the commandments of God’s Word; and (b) intentional ministry to one another through mutual accountability, encouragement and prayer.

The over-arching vision of Adult Ministries is to present every believer in our fellowship “complete in Christ” Colossians 1:28.

God gives spiritual gifts to each disciple to enable mutual ministry in the context of a strong and healthy local church (Ephesians 4:11-12).

We believe disciples of Christ should be equipped to minister to one another, rather than relying on pastors who bear total responsibility for the entire congregation. As a result, Harvest Adult Ministries values and seeks to nurture, a culture of spiritual growth and leadership development.
