I did not grow up in a Christian home. I was living for myself and drinking heavily and using drugs. I knew I needed to become sober. I asked God to help me even though at that time I did not know Jesus in a personal way. It’s been 34 years that I’ve been sober.
When my wife Michelle and I got married, we started attending church. After hearing the gospel and seeing Christ’s love in the people there, I knew I wanted a personal relationship with Christ. That’s when I realized Christ had gotten me sober all those years ago.
After 23 years as a Christian, I still want to live for Him and His glory. I am grateful for the Lord and His Word.
I am an electrical lineman employed by the city of Naperville. We have been at the Aurora Campus of Harvest for eight years.
